YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
The Detour UG project is an advanced underground exploration project based out of Detour mine project located in Northern Ontario. Reporting to the Manager, Detour Lake Underground Operations, you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will establish our underground maintenance programs to ensure the achievement of project and production goals in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
· Develop and implement the maintenance strategy for all underground related equipment, including the mobile fleet and underground fixed plant equipment;
· Lead the development of maintenance systems and preventive maintenance programs;
· Establish and lead the maintenance workforce required to support the Underground project;
· Contribute to the design of underground mining infrastructures to support production planning;
· Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations;
· Collaborate with the operations and project teams to execute an effective underground maintenance strategy;
· Integrate underground maintenance requirements with existing surface maintenance to leverage synergies, efficiencies and cost savings;
· Prepare operating and capital budgets based on project and production plans;
· Continuously measure and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance systems.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
· Relevant technical degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.) preferred;
· Proven experience in an underground mine maintenance role, with at least 5 years in a management leadership position;
· Familiarity with maintenance management systems;
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
· Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within the mining industry;
· Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex maintenance issues;
· Strong organizational and project management skills;
· Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule:
· Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days for transportation and rest;
Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
