Compensation & Benefits Information

·         Rate of pay ranges from: $26.08 to $27.16, as per the SEIU-Service Collective Agreement

·         Percent in lieu and vacation percent pay up to 18%, as per the SEIU-Service Collective Agreement

Job Summary:

The Environmental Services Aides of Blanche River Health is an integral member of the Infection Control Team.

By following environment standards set out by provincial best practices, the Environmental Services Aides ensures infection control principles and practices are being met.

Requirements:

·         Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Related experience may be considered in place of Diploma)

·         Must have problem-solving and decision-making skills and be able to work as a member of the team

·         Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision 

·         Must be willing to work flexible hours

·         Ability to do lifting, stretching, climbing, standing, walking long periods, use floor machines and other types of heavy equipment

·         Demonstrated ability to attend work promptly and regularly and to maintain same

·         Ability to interact pleasantly with public, customers and all staff

·         Main principles of confidentiality

·         Knowledge of Infection Control Procedures

·         Excellent time management skills required

·         Bilingualism an asset

·         Other duties as assigned
