Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest
underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between
Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated,
lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free
cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Operations, the Mill Lead Hand will be responsible for performing
various duties within the Mill and supporting Mill crews.
Primary Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
▪ Works and ensure all workers work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act,
Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants and all other applicable government standards and
regulations;
▪ Assist or participate in daily safety meeting;
▪ Provide safety leadership for a culture of health and safety of all employees
▪ Adheres to and enforces the internal responsibility system and Five Point Safety System;
▪ Adheres to and enforces all safety and environmental considerations;
▪ Create a culture of operating excellence, performance and project objectives
▪ Maintains working area and equipment in a clean and orderly conditions;

▪ Capability to act as spare supervisor
▪ All other activities entrusted by the immediate supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
▪ Minimum 5 years experience in an Ore Processing Mill including areas of grinding, flotation, CIL,
elutions, paste and water treatment;
▪ Accreditation of basic Mill common core modules;
▪ Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
▪ Strong leadership, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
▪ Proven ability to meet safety and production targets
Schedule: 12-hour shifts following a 5-5-4 rotation, days/nights
