Hours of operation: Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., occasional over-time may be required to meet deadlines.
Availability: Full Time, Permanent
Start Date: Spring 2025

Northern Truss is currently accepting applications from individuals for the position of Operations Coordinator and Designer at the Moonbeam Office. Reporting directly to Operations Manager, the candidate will play a key role Northern Truss’ growth strategy and day-to-day operations.

Duties / Responsibilities

·         Prepare building models using 3d modeling softwares to be used for roof truss and floor system designs,

·         Responsible to service Northern Truss' clientele with roof truss and floor system designs,

·         Prepare quotes and provide customer service to support design work,

·         Take sales calls and assist clients with their construction projects,

·         Prepare roof and floor system designs for production,

·         Manage accounts with hardware stores and contractors,

·         Assist Operations Manager with day-to-day operations such as Purchasing, Scheduling, and Quality Control,

·         Assist operations supervisor to oversee the health, safety, and environmental management for the company,

·         Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

The following skills and experience are considered assets for the position:

·         A diploma/certificate in architectural technologist, civil or construction engineering,

·         Strong attention to detail,

·         Strong numeracy and computer skills,

·         Experience and ability read blueprints for residential and commercial building design,

·         Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment,

·         Knowledge of Mitek Software considered an asset,

·         CAD software experience,

·         Fluent in French and English language is considered an asset,
