Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest
underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between
Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The recent completion of a highly
automated lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production as well as
strong free cash flow generation. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’
foundation for growth for many years to come. This is a very exciting time at Young-Davidson, and

Reporting to the Instrumentation Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for
successfully performing building maintenance and construction projects around the minesite.

Primary Responsibility
• Perform routine inspection and repair/maintenance of building systems;
• Assist with new construction and interior renovation tasks such as installation of flooring,
plumbing, fixtures, plastering, tiling, framing, insulating, painting, and basic locksmithing;
• Provide exterior maintenance repairs and installation such as roofing, tin siding, flashing,
replace windows, replace doors, repair damage and cosmetic wear;
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner and efficient manner;
• Conduct preventative maintenance work to keep buildings in good working order;
• Follow company safety procedures and safety requirements at all times;
• Access and prioritize work notifications through the maintenance tracking system (SAP);
• Request parts and quotations from warehouse and approved suppliers;
• Provide support and assistance to other members of the maintenance team;
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment;
• Perform daily/monthly inspections and complete associated proper forms;
• Collaborate with other on site contractors (plumbers, carpenters, roofers, HVAC);
• Assemble or relocate furniture and equipment as required; and
• Other duties assigned by the Instrumentation Supervisor as required.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
• Completion of post-secondary education in carpentry or equivalent experience;
• Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in maintenance tasks;
• Experience with framing, roofing, insulation, drywall, and finishing;
• Strong knowledge of various repair techniques and methods;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Previous experience in a gold milling environment would be an asset;
• Plumbing or HVAC experience would be an asset;
• Computer or network experience would be an asset;
• Strong safety focus; and
• Self-motivated ability to work alone and in a team environment.

Schedule: 10 hour shifts on a 4/3 schedule.
