The Opportunity

EXP is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist to work in our New Liskeard office. This is an immediate opening for you to join our talented and dynamic Infrastructure Group. 

Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Executing project designs, specifications and contract documents under the direction of the Project Manager
• Working closely with Project Manager to provide drafting and/or design work for Infrastructure projects, including municipal road/water/sewer project, commercial, industrial and transportation projects
• Preparation of technical specifications and reports/reviewing and preparation of progress drawings
• Preparing drawings for submission, as well as providing draft engineering calculations, as-builts, etc., and ensuring drawings meeting specifications provided
• Assisting in obtaining all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities, provisional (Ontario) and federal government agencies
• Attending staff, client and project meetings as requested

Qualifications
The following experience will be considered an asset:

• Experience in MTO highway design
• Experience in road and/or water and sewer design
• Experience using Bentley In-Roads
• Experience in municipal infrastructure and structural design
• Experience with AutoCad
• Knowledge of topographic survey
• OACETT certifications
• OACETT RCSI or RCCA designation
