EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
(Full Time Position)
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $26.94 to $28.83/hr

Qualifications: Secondary School Diploma, valid DZ license (minimum), 5 years experience in a roads operation/construction environment.

The Township of Harley is seeking qualified applicants for a full time position in the Public
Works Department. The individual will report to the Roads Superintendent and perform
maintenance, construction, and/or repair work related to roads, ditches, and equipment, etc.
Experience with various types of heavy equipment including dump trucks, snow plowing
equipment, loaders, and graders is required, as well as experience with other types of motorized equipment.
The individual should able to work independently as the Road Superintendent directs and wills; respond to winter road, or culvert emergency work; Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment to avoid operational interruptions; Inspect roads for sanding or plowing during winter events; Follow standard safety procedures and regulations; Keep work, time and material
records;
Excellent interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, communication, public relations and problem-solving skills are considered an asset.
