Job description

We are looking for an experienced A/Z Truck Driver to operate a truck and pup locally hauling mine ore in a safe and timely manner. This Job is for the Joel Vachon Trucking Division.

Responsibilities

• Haul raw materials to and from processing facilities.
• Perform regular vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and compliance.
• Plan delivery routes and adhere to schedules.
• Maintain accurate logbook, recording travel hours, rest periods, mileage, and any applicable fuel, repair, and toll expenses.
• Comply with company policies, government regulations, and traffic laws.
• Safely load and unload trucks as required.
• Follow and verify delivery instructions.
• Report any accidents, vehicle issues, or safety violations.

Requirements and skills

• Minimum 3 years of proven A/Z truck driving experience
• Experience using electronic equipment and software
• Ability to drive for extended periods and adapt to long hours
• Strong knowledge of Ontario truck driving regulations and road safety laws
• Clean driver's abstract
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions, such as traffic and weather
• Reliable and able to handle unexpected situations with professionalism
• Must be able to provide employment references upon request
