Hotel General Manager
Full-Time / 35-40hours a week
Salary is commensurate with experience.

O'Briens Group is on the lookout for a Hotel General Manager to oversee the operations of two of our properties. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving business success, and leading a dynamic team, this could be the perfect role for you.

As the Hotel General Manager at O'Briens Group, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of two properties, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and driving business success. This leadership position requires strategic vision, operational expertise, and a commitment to delivering unparalleled service.

Task will include but not limited to the following:

·         Oversee the daily operations of two hotels, ensuring smooth and efficient management.

·         Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and improve overall hotel performance.

·         Manage and lead hotel staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.

·         Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, standards, and regulations.

·         Coordinate with the marketing team to maximize revenue and occupancy rates.

·         Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.

·         Maintain strong relationships with guests, vendors, and the local community.

·         Implement and monitor safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.

·         Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance hotel operations.

·         Identify tourism opportunities and develop partnerships with local organizations and event organizers to enhance guest experiences and drive revenue.

·         Oversee the hotels social media presence and website content, ensuring alignment with brand standards and engaging with guests through various online platforms.

·         Develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and expand the hotel's customer base through targeted marketing initiatives and promotional activities.

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, skills & abilities:

·         Post-secondary education in tourism, business administration, finance or any combination of education and experience relevant to the position will be considered.

·         Proven leadership, entrepreneurial and decision-making skills.

·         Excellent financial acumen and experience with budget management.

·         Ability to work within deadlines.

·         Familiarity with accounting principles

·         Outstanding communication and organizational skills.

·         Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
