Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the food preparation process, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. You will assist in meal preparation and contribute to delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
  • Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation during peak hours.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning equipment and utensils after use.


Skills

  • Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in food preparation or line cooking roles.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations within the food industry.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for meal preparation and creativity in cooking techniques is a plus.

  • 8 hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Weekends as needed


Job Types:  Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay:  From $17.20 per hour
Expected Hours:  No more than 35 per week
Additional Pay:  Tips
Work Location:  In person
