LTC Education & Placement Lead

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
The LTC Education and Placement Lead plays a key role in supporting training, onboarding, and staff development across our Long-Term Care operations. This position leads the coordination and delivery of educational programs, ensures compliance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and related regulations, and manages student placements and new hire orientation.
You will work collaboratively with leadership and front-line staff to identify learning needs, develop and implement training plans, and evaluate outcomes that enhance care quality and team performance. The role requires independent decision-making, adaptability, and strong organizational skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate staff education and training programs.
- Coordinate student placements and oversee onboarding, orientation, and mentorship of new hires.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
- Support leadership and staff development through coaching, facilitation, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate across departments to identify training gaps and recommend learning solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on education and quality improvement activities.
- Participate in organizational initiatives, audits, and quality improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Regulated Health Professional in good standing with a recognized college.
- Post-secondary degree in a health-related field; postgraduate education in nursing, health administration, or equivalent preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, report writing, and multimedia presentation tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change, projects, and budgets effectively.
- Knowledge of adult education principles, quality improvement, and LTC regulations.
- Valid G Driver’s License and willingness to travel within the organization’s sites.
- Oral proficiency in French is an asset.
- Proven experience in gerontology and LTC operations strongly preferred.
- Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
