Physician Assistant

Location: 101 Progress Crescent, Kapuskasing, ON P5N 3H5

Job Type: Temporary full-time position until March 31, 2025 with possibility of extension. 

Compensation: Salaries range from $53.42 - $58.51 per hour.

Job Summary
As a Physician Assistant at Sensenbrenner Hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with a strong commitment to patient care and wellness.


Key Responsibilities

·         Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and     diagnostic tests.

·         Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.

·         Prescribe medications and therapies as needed, within the scope of practice.

·         Educate patients and their families on managing medical conditions and promoting      overall health.

·         Perform minor surgical procedures and assist in major surgeries as required.

·         Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide coordinated and                     comprehensive care.

·         Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record             (EMR) systems.

·         Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities.


Qualifications

·         Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

·         Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.

·         Experience in program development and education is considered an asset.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

·         Proficiency in EMR software and other relevant medical technologies.

·         Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

·         Must have the ability to provide services in English and in French.
