📍 This position is for individuals in the Timmins region looking for field-based at our active construction project sites. Rotational schedule with travel required to project locations with occasional travel to our
headquarters in Cambridge, ON.

The Role
We're looking for a candidate to be PLS's presence on the ground at our active project sites. You'll be the face of our company at site — the person carriers, customers,and construction teams turn to when freight arrives, when plans shift, and when calls need to be made on the spot.
Logistics Superintendent
Reporting to the Project Director, you'll own the on-site delivery cycle: from
receiving inbound shipments and directing offloading operations to keeping
documentation airtight and our HQ team informed in real time.
You'll work one of two rotations:
• Monday to Friday on site, or
• 20 days on / 10 days off rotation (preferred)
What You'll Do
• On-Site Delivery Oversight: Direct all inbound and outbound freight activity at
site, ensuring loads are received, offloaded, and staged safely and in line with
the construction schedule
• Construction Schedule Alignment: Work hand-in-hand with project superintendents and construction managers to align delivery sequencing with site needs, anticipating bottlenecks before they happen and flagging adjustments back to our Project Transportation Analysts & Logistic Coordinators
• Crane & Heavy Lift Coordination: Coordinate with rigging crews and crane operators for oversized cargo offloads, ensuring lift plans are reviewed, understood and executed safely
• Incident Reporting: Lead the documentation and reporting of any on-site incidents, near-misses, or freight anomalies
• Carrier & Driver Liaison: Receive carriers on arrival, verify documentation (BOL, AWB, TDG, customs paperwork), and ensure smooth handoffs between transport crews and site teams
• Daily Reporting: Provide consistent updates to our HQ Project Team and Project Director on inbound activity, delays and site conditions using Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams
• Client & Trades Interface: Represent PLS to the client and on-site trades professionally, calmly, and with the kind of presence that earns trust quickly and holds it when things get tough

•5+ years of recent experience in construction project management, site
logistics, or a field-supervisory role on large-scale projects. We prefer
candidates with a background in construction & or any of the following: mining,
utilities, energy, infrastructure, or oversized / project-based logistics
• Strong working knowledge of construction scheduling and how freight flows
interact with site activity
• Crane operations knowledge or hands-on experience is a strong asset
• Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 Suite for daily correspondence and
reporting
• Confident written and spoken English; French is an asset but not a requirement
• Ability to work a full rotational schedule on site, with travel between project
locations [currently Moosonee, ON] and our Cambridge, ON HQ as required
