Lauzon Stoneworks is looking for a Stone Polisher.

Rate of Pay:  $18-21 per hour, depending on the qualifications of the candidate

Requirements:
Required to have safety boots and report to the shop for 8-4pm Monday to Friday.

Duties:
• Operate machines:
Stone polishers use various machines like grinders, polishers, and saw to shape and polish stone blocks, slabs, and other products.
• Cut and shape stone:
May cut stone to specific dimensions and shapes, often following detailed plans or specifications.
• Grind and polish surfaces:
This involves using abrasive materials and tools to remove imperfections, smooth surfaces, and achieve desired finishes.
• Maintain equipment:
Stone polishers may be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of their tools and equipment.
• Ensure quality:
Must ensure that the finished product meets the required standards for precision, smoothness, and appearance.

Skills and Abilities:
• Manual dexterity:
Stone polishers need good hand-eye coordination and the ability to manipulate tools and materials with precision.
• Attention to detail:
Must be able to identify and correct imperfections and ensure that the final product is accurate and well-finished.
• Physical stamina:
Stone polishing can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
• Problem-solving skills:
May need to troubleshoot issues with equipment or adjust processes to achieve desired results.
