Tire Technician

This position will report to the Dome Surface Mechanical Supervisor. The successful applicant must be competent of performing all tasks associated with the maintenance of all tires.

Essential Job Duties
• Perform all tasks associated with the maintenance of all tires.
• Responsible for compliance with OHSA, Corporate and Porcupine Environmental Regulations, Safety, and Sustainability Standards
• Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department
• Must be highly motivated, organized, and must be capable of decision-making
• Responsible for providing own tools
• Assisting in other works areas may be required
Training & Experience
- Must have successfully completed the Tire Technician Program by the TIA (Tire Industry Association)
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Must be competent to operate Tire Manipulator and Loader and assist mechanics when required
- DZ driver's license
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer, and written skills
- Must be able to organize work and self-motivated
- Must be willing to work with others
- Be technically competent
Working Conditions
- This position is located at Dome site, part of Newmont's Porcupine Mine Site near Timmins, ON.
- In this role, you will work a 5x5x4 schedule. As such, if you do not live near the site, we will require you to relocate.
