About the Role:

Carman Construction is looking for a dedicated and skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This full-time, permanent role will primarily be based on-site at the Go West Mine, where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our heavy equipment fleet—including
Komatsu, Volvo, and CAT machinery.

You will play a key role in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance in a challenging and rewarding
environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform planned maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment
• Read and understand equipment plans, operator manuals, and technical documentation
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Handle fueling, greasing ,and cleaning duties
• Ensure returning equipment is ready for the next job
• Oversee and inspect junior staff’s work for accuracy and quality
• Maintain accurate paper work and inventory of tools
• Assist with general Labour duties and lead by example in safety and performance

Requirements: 
• Heavy Duty Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic ,or Millwright experience preferred
• Industrial maintenance experience required
• Valid DZ license is an asset
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics ,diesel  engines ,electrical systems, and fuels/lubricants
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical ,electrical, and hydraulic schematics
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Physically able to work in tight spaces and in all weather conditions
• Proven reliability and ability to work independently
