Position: Loader Operator (Direct Hire)

Wage: $30.00–$34.00/hour (based on experience) + Overtime after 44 hours

Northern Labour Supply Services (NLSS) is currently recruiting Loader Operators on behalf of our client, a well-established mining contractor operating at an open-pit site in Timmins, Ontario. This is a direct-hire opportunity, with successful candidates joining the client's team directly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate large front-end loaders to safely load haul trucks, move material, and assist with general pit operations
• Manage material stockpiles, load bins and hoppers, and assist with road building and pad maintenance
• Ensure consistent loading volumes and avoid overloading to maintain equipment efficiency
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with dispatch and other operators to coordinate site logistics

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of loader operating experience in mining or heavy civil construction (e.g., CAT 980, 988 or similar)
• Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site (Timmins-based)
• Willing and able to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Comfortable working 12-hour strictly day or strictly night shifts (non-rotating), on a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule
• Must have or be willing to complete:
  • WHMIS certification
  • Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps
  • Site-specific induction
