Northern Labour Supply Services (NLSS) is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Project Director to lead large-scale heavy civil and mining projects in Northern Ontario. This is an exciting leadership opportunity with a reputable employer operating at a major mine site. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of project strategies in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Manage all phases of project execution including planning, budgeting, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Serve as the main liaison for internal and external stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Optimize resource allocation across personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Lead financial oversight of project budgets, cost forecasts, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within project teams.
• Resolve conflicts and challenges effectively to ensure project continuity and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Promote client-focused delivery to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years of progressive project management experience in heavy civil or mining sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects in high-stakes environments.
• Expertise in planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and team leadership.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Previous experience with large mine-site infrastructure or remote projects is considered an asset.
