Wage: $25.00 - $30.00/hour + Overtime after 44 hours

Northern Labour Supply Services (NLSS) is hiring Rock Truck Operators for a 7-month contract in support of open-pit mining operations in Timmins, Ontario. Successful candidates will be employed directly by NLSS, working on a large-scale earthworks and dam construction project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate 45-tonne articulated rock trucks to haul rockfill, overburden, or aggregate materials
• Safely navigate haul roads in and around the open-pit site
• Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or hazards
• Maintain proper load balance and ensure secure transport
• Communicate with supervisors, shovel/load operators, and other drivers to coordinate hauls
• Follow all site safety rules, speed limits, and traffic protocols
• Assist with basic site maintenance or cleanup as required during downtime

Requirements:

• Experience operating articulated rock trucks (e.g., CAT 745, Volvo A45, or equivalent) in a mining or construction setting
• Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite (Timmins-based)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
• Comfortable working 12-hour strictly day or strictly night shifts (non-rotating), on a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule
• Must have or be willing to complete:
  • WHMIS certification
  • Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps
  • Site-specific induction
